Weβve been using Drainetrain for my son and daughter for over 2 years and it has been the best resource for basketball training. Weβve tried 6 different training programs in town that were all good but it was draintrain that stood out for us for the results, the community, the flexibility in scheduling, and the professionalism of coach Draine. When my 12 year old son started he was still in rec league, but now he is competing at the AAU level with a club team and often plays 1 year above his grade at local tournaments. When I asked him what he thought about Drainetrain, he said this βyou donβt realize that the moves he teaches are gonna to be useful, but they just come out during games naturallyβ. What I liked was that Drainetrain uses very specific basketball terminology to describe all the details of each move and as a result, the kids learn the terminology and this makes instruction very time efficient. Terms like βdrop stepβ, βdrop pocketβ, βdrag stepβ etc allow kids to know exactly what they need to do with a few words. Weβve met other kids, made friends through βtrain and playβ sessions, and been connected through the online portal and plan to keep going with draintrain

John does a great job putting together a skills training program geared towards improving every aspect of the athlete's game. The improvements to ball handling are obvious, but the improvements to the athlete's shooting, ability to move "smartly", and overall confidence are more than welcome surprise additions!! Whether you're a young athlete just getting into basketball, a middle schooler getting ready for the jump to high school, a high schooler getting ready for the jump to college, or you're just an individual who loves basketball with all your heart - John is a great resource to help improve your game. John has been working with my daughter for a little over 6 months now and her confidence has improved so much! He does an amazing job and the skills he teaches are top notch. My daughter loves her time training with him and always looks forward to it every week! She has come SO far in a very short time, and works hard throughout the week practicing the skills he taught her the week before. I would highly recommend John or his son Kyle for personal training. I had no idea how much there was to basketball until we put our daughter there to help build her skillset. My husband and I both love going and watching him push our daughter to preform to her highest potential each visit, and if he doesn't feel like she's giving it her all, he tells her and encourages her to do better, which is what she needs. She's learned so much about what she's capable of and how to push herself to her full ability and it's so fun to watch what she can accomplish.

Super happy with this program. My sonβs ball handling and footwork has improved so much as has his confidence. He really does look forward to each session and the workouts he is given to do at home. John is just a genuine guy who connects with the players and you can tell he really cares about their development. Recommend 100%

John is the best. He really cares about my girls, who have trained with him for a couple of years. He knows them as individuals and what they need and when and how to push them. He also sits in the stands and cheers for them. After try outs my daughter credited Johns workouts with feeling confident and being successful in making the team.
